Attacking with a Trap

1. Ensure the creature is attempting to attack you.
2. Ensure no one else is attacking the creature.
3. Use any direct attack (weapon or a direct skill) to make sure that you are attacking the creature. The creature may not recognize a trap as being set by you, so may not award experience points to you. The trap is anonymous, so the game doesn't know who to give the experience to. But by hitting it once with any other attack, the game knows that you were the one who was fighting the creature.
